The Upward Bound department is seeking a Wellness Coordinator for their summer camp program, which runs June 19th through July 28th, 2023.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Meet with individual students who have been referred or need counseling support.
• Provide care to students in a manner that promotes safety, and comfort
• Communicate with the Administrative Team when needed.
• Assist with Conflict Resolution.
• Education students on various how to use various anxiety and decompressing techniques.
• Document student meetings.
• Develop trust with both students and staff.
• Facilitate support groups for students.

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.
• Experience in client rapport, empathy, compassion, active listening, organization, record keeping, information technology savvy, healthy professional boundaries, and strong ethics.
• Experience in working with students who come from economically or educationally disadvantaged backgrounds.
