Experience: 2 Years operating experience with video mixers, camera sources, playback software, broadcast video formats/codecs, presentation equipment, Scalers, Live Streaming, LED Walls, Projectors, etc.

Bonus: Familiar with BlackMagic Design gear and ATEM software.

A V1 is responsible for the technical aspects of producing live video content and presentations for corporate events. Some of the responsibilities include:

Show up on time, clean, and presentable. Our dresscode is black pants, black shoes, and our Last Wave team shirt. No gang-related or potentially offensive prints on outerwear, hats, etc.

Handling of all media for show: The video director will work with the client and TD to plan, test, and playback media content for the event.

Coordinating with Showrunners & FoH: The video director will communicate directly or via headset with the TD, A1, Camera Operators, LD, Stream Operators, and Showrunners to ensure all media / presentation content is delivered correctly.

Video Switching: Responsible for operating and switching between camera shots, presentations, and playback media during an event.

Providing a secondary video mix for presenters needing a confidence monitor.

Ensuring presenters PerfectCue, slide advance is working properly.

Troubleshooting technical issues: The video director is responsible for quickly resolving any technical issues that may arise during the event relating to cameras, SDI cabling, TVs, LED Walls, Video Switching, Presentations, etc.

Quality Control: The video director will ensure that the media content displays properly for the client and is able to scale content correctly for the output hardware.
