Job description
- Provides evidence-based clinical services such as DBT to students and families including individual and group counseling and regularly scheduled parent support and training
- Coordinates all clinical services of the program
- Facilitates intake process for admission to the program and maintains ongoing communication with high school staff
- Develops and implements additional programming and alternative learning experiences for students to support success
- Works with teaching and clinical staff to develop individual support plans for students
- Develops and maintains a supportive school culture that values individual learning styles
- Provides information and referrals to families regarding community-based resources
- Provides conflict resolution, problem solving and crisis intervention with students using evidence-based practices
- Develops relationships with key stakeholders in the community that interface with the Alternative Program
- Performs additional duties as assigned
- Masters degree in Social Work, or School Psychology
- Holds, or is eligible for Connecticut State Certification in Social Work or School Psychology
- Experience with alternative programs for students with mental health and learning needs desirable
- Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
