Alaris Health at Belgrove, a 120 bed-skilled nursing Center in Kearny, New Jersey, seeks a van driver. As a van driver, you will do more than simply get residents from point A to point B. You will be responsible for:
- safely operating the Center’s vehicles when transporting residents, clients and/or employees during activities and to pre-approved destinations
- assisting residents and/or employees when boarding and disembarking the vehicles
- maintaining route and mileage logs and monitoring routine vehicle safety checks (fuel and vital fluid levels, etc.)
- immediately reporting any vehicle problems or maintenance needs to the maintenance director/administrator
- always representing the Center in a positive light and interacting in a warm and positive manner with residents and their families/responsible parties
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Possess excellent driving records and be safety conscious (a CDL driver’s license is preferred)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Compassionate individual capable of rendering physical assistance to residents as needed
- Ability to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general public
