We are seeking an animal lover with a passion for Veterinary Medicine to join our team of Veterinary Assistants. The ideal candidate for this position has strong compassion for animals, is comfortable wearing sterile clothing and loves being part of a team. The Veterinary Assistant will work closely with our experienced veterinarians and assist them with their daily tasks, such as preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, observing and documenting animals' health, and educating pet owners on the latest pet wellness trends.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians by feeding and providing basic first aid to animals.
- Take accurate veterinarian communication messages and pass them on to staff according to protocol.
- Assist in patient treatment activities such as cleaning, grooming, and exercising animals.
- Keep kennel areas clean and sanitary.
- Administering vaccines, injections and medications to patients.
- Proper restraint of animals.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
