We are looking for a skilled, compassionate and reliable individual to join our team of Veterinary Technicians. This position is especially important, as it provides support to the rest of the team, patient care, and emergency situations. The ideal candidate will have a background in animal science and enjoy working with pets.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in administering anesthesia and making surgical incisions.
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures and medical terminology.
- Diagnose injuries and illnesses by conducting physical examinations, internal and external diagnostic imaging, collecting samples for lab analysis, and consulting with veterinarians.
- Assist veterinarians in surgery and dental procedures.
- Collect samples for lab analysis using instruments such as syringes., Perform interventions in small animals with the guidance of a veterinarian.
- Perform routine diagnostic imaging on animals.
- Maintain research animal colonies.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
