We are looking for a team player wanting to be a part of something different and help create a better environment for the pets we treat and staff providing specialty care.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • 2+ years of experience in the medical field (veterinary or human) including familiarity with medications and dosages.
  • Excellent mathematical skills and ability to calculate dosages.
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills, decision-making, and organization to ensure efficient job performance and job success.

Required duties:

  • Answer all pharmacy directed phone calls and ensure excellent communication with clients.
  • Complete medication refill requests and hospital inpatient/outpatient medication requests in a timely manner using our electronic medical record system.
  • Screen prescriptions and provide orders for accuracy, drug interactions and therapeutic appropriateness.
  • Instruct clients in the proper use of prescribed drugs.
  • Reorder inventory as necessary to maintain continuous inventory of medications and supplies.
  • Receive and restock medications and hospital supplies.
  • Monthly counts of medications.
  • Ensure compliance with DEA regulations.
