Overview:Amyx is seeking a VP of Federal Civilian Programs to oversee, cultivate, and grow client relationships within Federal Civilian/non-DoD Agencies. Responsibilities will include ensuring Amyx delivery teams meet or exceed quality performance standards both required by contracts and from Amyx’s Quality Management System. The candidate will also lead major business development and capture pursuits helping to expand Amyx’s capabilities within its Systems Development, Cybersecurity, SETA, Acquisition, Financial Management, and eDiscovery services.
The candidate will report to the Amyx Chief Operating Officer (COO) and work closely with C-level leadership and members of the Growth team in formulating and executing corporate strategies. The position will be based at Amyx Headquarters in Reston, VA.
Responsibilities:The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Manages and is responsible for overseeing Amyx Civilian contracts to ensure the projects achieve the highest possible performance standards in accordance with contractual requirements. This is often measured through CPARS and customer surveys.
- Will lead key opportunities as the capture manager.
- Performs frequent client visits to assess performance, provide overall subject matter expertise associated with the contracts, and seek out ways to provide additional support to the client.
- Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews and audits.
- Performs overall contract financial oversight to include labor utilization, estimates at completion, and revenue.
- Performs Employee Annual Goals and Appraisals
- Serves as liaison between client delivery teams and Amyx departments such as HR, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and others.
- Maintains Profit and Loss responsibility.
- Coordinates with subcontractors to ensure accountability to subcontractor agreements and commitments.
- Responsible for meeting revenue goals and growth targets by performing business development and capture activities, including the development and review of proposals.
- Assists with employee development by providing mentorship and career guidance in accordance with Amyx’s Human Capital Plan.
- Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards such as ISO and CMMI.
- Participates in special projects as required.
Qualifications:Position Requirements:
- 10+ years of related program management or industry experience with an emphasis on Federal Civilian agencies, especially Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Energy (DOE), and/or Securities Exchange Commission (SEC).
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related business or technical discipline. Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred. Master’s Degree is a plus.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required.
- Desired experience with DHS immigration components (CBP, CIS, ICE, and others), and DOE including NNSA as well as other DOE entities.
- Experience managing client delivery teams.
- Expert communication and writing skills to ensure deliverables are reviewed and submitted within contractual performance standards.
- Expert deal strategy and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
- Must be detail oriented and able to function effectively in a fast paced, multitasking work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with both internal and external stakeholders at the highest levels (i.e., senior executives).
- Ability to mentor and coach junior staff members.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience and general understanding of IT/computer science concepts and software development methodologies such as Agile and DevSecOps, and a basic understanding of key cybersecurity principles including RMF, threat ID, detection, and protection of Operational Technology.
- Program Management, Systems Development, and/or Acquisition experience preferred.
- Prior experience supporting a Fed Civilian PMO desired.
- Position may require some CONUS travel.
- Proven track record of growing business from the ground up to include customer meetings, proposal writing, and organic growth.
- Proven track record of leading winning proposals for Federal contracts.
