Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Midstream and Marketing will report to the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and be responsible for the effective and efficient development, management, and administration of the Company’s midstream and marketing operations. This position will lead the development and delivery of the company’s strategic plan in an innovative and proactive manner and will need to anticipate and deflect potential strategic and operational problems, identify expert solutions to problems that arise, and implement decisions effectively.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Direct and implement company's sales strategies in negotiations for natural gas, crude and natural gas liquids sales
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of critical infrastructure needed to support the development and growth of the Company’s midstream operations including pipeline and storage infrastructure projects
  • Oversee company’s midstream contract performance with regards to gathering, processing, fractionation and other services
  • Acts as senior marketing expert in disseminating marketing information, economics and possible presentations to the Board and senior management.
  • Collaborate with other department leadership, as needed, to draft, structure and negotiate midstream service agreements (gas gathering, compression, etc.) and marketing sales agreements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to support business objectives and ensure safe and compliant operations
  • Establish that Midstream and Marketing operations, policies and relationships are supported and developed in alignment with company’s strategic direction
  • Create accurate forecasting as well as a yearly and multi-year budget alongside the other executive leaders in the Company
  • Coach, teach and mentor staff in the development of their business development, financial, technical and leadership skill sets
  • Support evaluation of the marketing impact on potential acquisitions
  • Assist in all evaluations or special projects required
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Demonstrative expert knowledge of the midstream operations and gas, crude and natural gas liquids marketing
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Must possess mastery of knowledge of all midstream and gas, crude and natural gas liquids marketing functions and how the department’s activities affect the Company's performance.
  • Possess ability to evaluate opportunities and identify/address key risk elements
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project related goals
  • Established history of offering innovative, analytical, and creative approaches to problem solving
  • Ability to think outside the box, with an understanding of drilling (both internal and drilling arrangements with industry partners) and leases.
  • Senior Executive level of business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively within a multi-disciplined team.
  • Ability to develop a functional group that fosters a team environment and lead change to promote growth
  • Expert analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Expert level knowledge and application of negotiation, organization and communication skills
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business-related field required, Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • 10 years of leadership experience of midstream operations and oil and gas marketing
  • Experience of leading complex change projects
  • Previous experience of delivering results with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment as a leader of the midstream/marketing function
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary. Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. The ability to use a computer, tablet or smart phone for extended periods of time. Basic use of office equipment such as copier and fax machines. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, along with equipment necessary to design, draw, and execute plans.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
  • This is a full-time exempt position. Days and hours of work will vary due to workload and needs of the company.
TRAVEL:
  • Some travel is expected for this position.
