Job Summary:
We are a bunch of Nerds making waves in the Web 3.0 space. We are searching for an enthusiastic and highly technical Vice President of Engineering with strong interpersonal skills to manage a software development team as a servant leader. This role is responsible for ensuring that design requirements are met, overseeing the consistency of user experience, software architecture decisions and managing a team of engineers. We need your help ensuring that the Nerd experience is something to be envied by all other tech companies!
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead, inspire, motivate, and build the engineering team
- Meet with developers to set the standards, and ensure best practices
- Recommending technological developments and improvements in efficiency
- Developing the team to ensure quality end products
- Provide architecture designs and direction
- Collaborate with business and engineering team to understand and implement technical solutions
- Assesses feasibility of design and project parameters within a time and cost constraint
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to analyze and think quickly and to resolve conflict

- Extensive knowledge of coding languages and systems

- Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction
- Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask and work well under pressure
- Experience / Proficient with Docker, K8s, Helm, ArgoCD, AWS, React, MSSQL or similar technologies
- Team player who collaborates well with others
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree, specifically in a technical discipline
- Preferred - master’s degree or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in managing an engineering team
- 10+ years in software development
