Job description
The successful candidate will primarily performs functions of system integrity protection. Responsible for critical main audits on a daily basis. Conducts inspections of all SAMCO (utility marking) conflicts within the entire system.Conducts leak surveys as well as stream/highway crossing inspections. This position works both individually and in conjunction with Utility Specialist and Water Distribution Supervisors.

Detailed Description
Key Responsibilities and Expectations
- Required to mark all critical mains within the system and back check all SAMCO marks on critical mains. Required to mark all water lines at Citizens Water facilities.
- Required to review all locate requests in Morgan County and mark water mains and services.
- When dealing with contractors enforce all Citizens Water standards and rules and ensure all Citizens Water policies and procedures are upheld.
- Ensure that corrections are made to the GIS mapping system when discrepancies are found in the field.
- Investigate and Inspect all damaged water mains and service lines, ensure that construction records, damage forms and Pay Job documents are filled out properly.
- Leak surveys.?
- Stream/highway crossing inspections.
- Performs other duties and/or activities as assigned.
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
- Maintain a valid Indiana Driver?s License.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work in various positions, which require but are not limited to sitting, bending, standing, walking, climbing or lifting.
- 3 years of experience using pipe locating technology
