About the role

Kerry, Vinton, has a new position open for Warehouse Worker. We are seeking a hard-working, reliable, and punctual warehouse worker to join our growing operation. In this role, you will work in our shipping and receiving department. You will be expected to pick orders with speed and accuracy and have a team-player mentality while being committed to maintaining a safe and positive work environment.

Pay Rate/Hourly Rate/shift differential: 18.50 per hr. Plus a $1500 sign-on bonus paid after 90 days of employment.

Shift/Working Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm

Overtime Eligible: Yes
Add Details: This is a warehouse position but also unloads incoming raw soybeans.

Key responsibilities

Warehouse Worker Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates commitment to all safety standards at all times
• Reliably pull and process orders, requires lifting 50 lb. bags and items as required
• Check all incoming and outgoing orders for accuracy
• Perform inventory control checks
• Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors
• Use equipment properly and maintain it as needed
• Operator a forklift, as needed
• Follow Shipping and Receiving Procedures
• Keep neat and orderly records of all incoming and outgoing orders
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized
• Report any order discrepancies or issues to management ASAP
• Unload Soybean Trucks following procedures: outside, cold weather dress as needed
• Load Soybean Oil Trucks: outside, cold weather dress as needed
• Load Soybean Hull Trucks: outside, cold weather dress as needed
• Check water tank daily when Nut Line is running and 2x/week when not running Nut Line. This is outside: cold weather dress as needed
• Help on ISO Program – Monthly and Quarterly Stormwater inspections, recycle items in the plant, and other responsibilities required in the ISO program

Qualifications and skills

Warehouse Worker Requirements and Qualification:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license
• Forklift certifications and experience a plus
• Solid work history that demonstrates reliability and good attendance; warehouse work experience a plus
• Able to work on your feet for 8-hour shifts and lift 50 lbs when needed
• Able to work overtime if needed
• Basic computer skills
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Good Manufacturing Practices (will be trained)
• SAP Software experience a Plus
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Attend all meetings and trainings as required. Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to your direct supervisor or management.
