- Receive packages from incoming freight delivery trucks and stage for processing
- Perform identification and marking of new incoming freight
- Use measuring tape to take measurement of all items received
- Perform phone calls to customers if needed to retrieve more information
- Open and inspect all new incoming items for damage then re-pack/re-tape boxes
- Perform administrative paperwork that identifies items
- Stage inspected items for warehousing efforts
- Assist in warehousing of processed items
- Process waste as necessary
- Process damaged items as they are found and notify supervisor immediately
- Able to perform assembly of furniture and other items using hand/power tools
- Other duties as assigned
- Data entry on computer
- Processing items for returns
- Calculate storage costs for all items using calculator tool
- Reading and responding to e-mails and notifying the appropriate person/department
- Other duties as assigned
- 1+ years warehouse experience
- Ability to use warehouse equipment, including forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is a plus, but not required
- Ability to use technology/computers; experience with Apple/Mac and using Apple Numbers or Excel is a plus
- Capable of standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects (100+ lbs)
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task
- Reliable with good work ethic
