NOVA Automation is seeking a skilled, energetic and reliable candidate to fill the position of fabrication Bandsaw Operator.

Position: Bandsaw Operator

Schedule: 1:30pm to 10:00pm M-F (PM shift $1.50 pay differential)

Salary Range: $21.50 - $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Comply with all safety guidelines and use all Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).

• Use band saw to cut material for large-scale packaging and palletizing systems

• Responsible for ensuring product meets or exceeds established product specifications

• Use a band saw to make detailed and precision cuts

• Perform basic adjustment to machine to include changing saw blades, table adjustments and ensure all safety guards are in place.

• Demonstrate proper cutting techniques to maximize blade usage and minimize stress on the equipment.

• Clean band saw operating area

• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Basic math and reasoning skills

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.

• Must have good hand/eye coordination.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Self-motivated and self-directed

• Ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision

• Experience with flat bar, angle iron, sheet metal, multiple thicknesses, and types

• Experience operating a forklift
