Overview
Warehouse Associate is responsible for the daily preparation and assembly of materials required for successful installation of windows/doors. This person is also responsible for developing and maintaining a good relationship with the Installation and Order Fulfillment Departments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify product arrival and preparation for install following the requirements in the Tech map/Install packet
- Inspect product for quality and identify any flaws/damage and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse supervisor.
- Storage of product to meet standards to avoid damage to product
- Warehouse associates will track and record inventory In/out of warehouse and report to warehouse manager all issues.
- Cycle Count inventory daily to identify gaps and determine root cause
- Break down scrap aluminum and store it in designated area for recycle
- Painting exterior trim identified in tech map/install pack.
- Unloading, checking and storing all shipments.
- Cleaning warehouse at all times, including a daily sweep at the end of shift.
- Staging all prepped materials in designated areas and ensure all materials are prepped and ready per specifications
- Performing any other tasked designated by the warehouse supervisor or manager as needed
- Adhere to safe practice techniques and call out any unsafe practices
- Transport/ pickup materials to support warehouse and installation teams
- Maintain and achieve output results as per established cycle times
- Identify process improvements and lean ideas and make recommendations on a regular basis
- Forklift certified/Trained and operation safety
- Heavy lifting of products (50+ lbs) using appropriate equipment and requesting support as needed
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 2 years of warehouse experience
- 2 years of computer and data entry experience
- Strong math skills
- Attention to details
- Forklift certified/Trained
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
