a day shift Warehouse Janitor
for our facility located at
432 Hwy 594, Monroe, LA. This position works 3 days on and 3 days off from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm.

JOB SUMMARY The Janitor is responsible for maintaining sanitation levels in and around company facilities as set forth by company standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES including but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Warehouse Maintenance and Sanitation
Clean warehouse/offices/bathrooms with hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners to meet company standards. Remove all refuse from offices, bathrooms and building daily, ensuring that trashcans are empty and clean. Clean break room and work areas. Wax and buff office/rest room floors as needed. Relocate, move and adjust office/break room furniture as necessary. Ensure that the highest degree of sanitation and housekeeping is maintained. Ensure that pest control systems are operating effectively.
Grounds Maintenance
Remove ice and snow from pedestrian walkways when needed. Keep company grounds free of litter and debris.
Building Repairs
Perform minor repairs to facilities as required. This may include such duties as replacing light bulbs, painting, unplugging stopped drains, replacing filters, etc.
Trailer Maintenance
Sweep inside of trailers as needed.
Reporting
Prepare complete and accurate records and reports as required.
Safety
Report any safety problems to the shift supervisor. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Education (preferred level) – High school diploma or GED
- Experience (the minimum level of direct experience in a similar position) – One year maintenance and cleaning work experience preferred.
- Knowledge/Experience/Skills: Janitor requires the ability to follow instructions, operate power scrubbers and sweepers. The Janitor must be in good health and physical condition to perform the physical tasks required by the position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, crawl, bend, twist and/or kneel for up to 12-hour periods of time and repetitively
- Capability to navigate through narrow, confined spaces
- Work near or on top of sloping, uneven and/or slippery surfaces
- Exposure to varying temperatures: heat, cold, wet, damp, drafty
- Possible exposure to areas with high noise levels that may require hearing protection
- Use hands and fingers to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying sizes and weights
- Utilize muscles to lift, push, pull or carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
