Warehouse Manager - Consumer and Independent
Job description
The Warehouse Manager-Consumer/Independent is responsible for supervising the daily operations relating to the direct-to-consumer and specialty retail (Independent) orders and needs, and responsible for inventory management by ensuring related warehouse processes are conducted accurately and efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Create and support NetSuite dashboards, reports, saved searches, KPI’s, and business processes that go beyond the standard NetSuite application.
· Foster a process improvement culture with Rapid Improvement Events (RIE’s) and continuous improvement events based on results from the Value Stream Map (VSM) process.
· Provides timely and correct information inner-departmentally and cross-departmentally as it relates to shipping/receiving/inventory matters.
· Ensures that all order fulfillment and inventory responsibilities are assigned to appropriate warehouse personnel.
· Creates and implements Standard Operating Procedures that will enable the department to meet all vendor guide requirements and inventory efficiencies.
· Monitors the Open Order report each day, promptly resolving problems to allow for on-time shipment.
· Analyzes all cycle counts and performs audits to achieve accurate inventory levels.
· Communicates and coordinates with other departments to assure meet the company's inventory goals/objectives. Recommends solutions to resolve problem areas.
· Ensures that breakdown of damaged finished goods product or returned products that are salvageable parts get recorded back into the parts inventory.
· Seeks to improve existing reporting procedures.
· Analyzes inventory reports. Uses sound judgment to identify the focus of material amounts.
· Keeps management informed of any issues that will affect our ability to successfully meet department goals.
· Keeps management informed of any issues that will affect business conditions.
· Establishes procedures for periodic audit counts and focus on problem areas.
· Uses sound judgment and proper documentation whenever adjusting inventory amounts.
· Ensures accurate timekeeping and absence management for subordinate employees.
· Coordinates and leads the inventory physical count events.
· Knowledge of OSHA compliance and Safety.
· Ability to operate and train on proper forklift operation.
· Other duties assigned.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
· An Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience.
· At least 3-5 years of demonstrated success in inventory management and people-leadership.
· A minimum of one (2) year of work experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement or Operations of Excellence.
· Must have proficient computer skills with excellent experience using Microsoft software and ERP system.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Lean Six Sigma Certification
· Continuous Improvement (CI) Certifications
· NetSuite experience within operations modules and processes
· PaceJet software experience
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
· Experience with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook and Excel.
· Excellent verbal and written English language skills required. Read, interpret, and analyze correspondence, memos, and reports.
· Effectively use the company warehouse/inventory management system to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained.
· Communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
· High level of attention to detail.
· Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
· Proven ability to objectively coach employees on performance related matters.
· The ability to be flexible, self-directed, motivated, and able to interact with employees at all levels.
· Ability to work productively amid a noise level which is typical of a warehouse environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Work in office and warehouse environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Prolonged standing, use of hands, vision, hearing and speaking.
· Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
