BASIC FUNCTION

The supervisor is responsible for the coordination of a plant's manufacturing operations and multiple department operations, consistent with cost, profit, and productivity objectives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise warehouse staff, including training, schedules, and performance.
  • Supervise and direct the daily production schedules, coordinate projects with internal and external sources, and warehouse supply needs.
  • Supervise the loading/unloading of shipments.
  • Maintain and control warehouse inventory, reconcile inventory variances.
  • Oversee finished goods packaging as required.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to product age and quality.
  • Analyze production operations and workflow and develops improvement recommendations.
  • Ensure that operations are performed within Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, as well as company policy and procedure.
  • Participates in the Safety Committee process and ensures that assigned operations are performed consistent with Company and OSHA policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Assist in the implementation and training of new systems including, but not limited to ERP & WMS systems.
  • Lead and contribute to process improvement and best practice documentation activities.
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERINECE & SKILLS

  • Minimum of 1 year experience supervising & leading in a warehouse environment.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership, communication, organization & customer service skills.
  • Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity.
  • Perform job duties effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in multitasking, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.

EDUCATION

  • High School diploma or equivalent

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Forklift Certification preferred, however Smarte Carte will provide certification upon employment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook & navigating the internet.
  • Basic business math

PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs to waist height
  • Stand up to duration of shift

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • Driver License required
