CDL Driver Class B Hazmat Driver
Department: WasteXpress Environmental
Reports To: Department Manager
Location: Portland, OR
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7AM to 4PM

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid CDL B Driver License with Hazmat Endorsement
- Ability to load drums and other containers onto truck using a drum dolly and liftgate.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must have a driving record maintained in good standing to pass insurance requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Go to customers’ locations to perform industrial cleaning projects to include packaging, labeling and manifest of waste in compliance with:

- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
- Operates box van carrying drums with a lift gate to pick up and/or deliver drums at a specified destination.
- Work with existing management on process efficiencies, report maintenance issues to location supervisor and keep vehicle clean.
- Process waste at IRM if the need should arise. This will be during times of high need as opposed to daily activity.
- Learn how to designate waste, how to look up the treatment standard and how to assign a waste category.
- Help offload trucks at our facility.
- Works closely with the Sales Department in preparing work orders and other project documents.
- Perform working labpack/loosepack jobs and assist in all large jobs.
- Perform hazcatting.
- Reports all accidents and injuries and completes an accident report form.
- Act in a proficient and professional manner while interfacing with customers.
- Establishes and maintains the safety of their load ensuring all loads are properly secured before driving.
- Take personal responsibility that your actions are safe and compliant with all regulations and company policies and point out those things you see that may be deficient.
