Responsibilities:
Works on all web applications to be able to modify or enhance. Primary to at least two major/strategic/key web applications. Also responsible for day-to-day security contact with AWS partner vendor. Fully understands the entire AWS and Adobe environments to provide recommendations and debugging during outages.

Works directly with product teams, UI/UX teams, analysts, and director to discuss opportunities and provide recommendations on potential solutions. Regularly meets with teams to watch for potential opportunities and recommendations that could be made.

Provides alternative development methods as well as department recommendations in terms of organization and security. Leverages analytics and testing (A/B or other) in all learnings.
Proactively monitors new versions of languages, changes to frameworks, and other industry changes that impact or could improve the development of web applications within the department. Responsible for keeping up with industry security changes and new potential threats alongside IT.

Works with product team and director to confirm requirements and make proactive recommendations on potential alternative paths to avoid pitfalls or technical challenges. Proactively scopes out advanced technical development projects and offers timeline required to delivery. In addition to projects with specific requirements, offers proactive improvements not driven by business lines or product teams, rather by development experience or analytics.

Advanced and independent analytics access and knowledge. Monitor conversion rates of primary core applications as well as all of the data opportunities within it. Monitor key metrics of the funnels related to conversion rate, efficiency, and cross-selling abilities. Regularly applies analytics tracking opportunities in every step of building to include key funnel conversion steps and descriptive transactional tags.

Coordinates with IT and vendors on security patches and firewall considerations to effectively launch web applications.
Adheres to all development processes and procedures as well as the software development life cycle. Utilizes all primary development tools as demonstrated during training and onboarding.

Qualifications:
Education/Licenses/ Certifications:
Bachelor's in Computer Science or other related fields, or 6+ years of additional relevant experience.

Experience:
3+ years related experience with PHP and an OOP Framework (Laravel/Symfony/Zend, etc) required
Strong in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web coding languages required
Experience with AWS and security server environment patches required
CMS tool familiarity and Java preferred

The pay range for this position in Rhode Island is $84,500.00 - $104,375. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Annual bonuses are some of the additional forms of compensation offered. Skills & Abilities

Ability to listen to, understand, and communicate with others by telephone, in written form, electronically, or in person.
Strong mastery of PHP, Laravel frameworks specifically, CSS, JavaScript, and all other club application languages and tools.
Ability to mentor junior developers in the areas of PHP and framework knowledge.
Ability to build applications within AWS cloud environments independently with the use of GitHub and other tools.
The ability to independently learn on an ongoing basis is critical to maintain the pace of change in development languages and industry evolution.
Strong MySQL/SQL knowledge.
Ability to interact with nontechnical staff and communicate technical concepts.
An understanding of Object-Oriented modeling and programming.
