Are you great at making an outstanding “first” and “last” impression? We have an opening for someone who wants to make a significant positive impact in our community. We are looking for a welcoming and dependable part-time membership representative to join our Rockport team. Responsibilities include greeting and checking in guests and members, taking payments, program sign-ups, facility tours, opening and closing the facility, enrolling new members, and light cleaning.

Position require computer skills, the ability to multi-task, the ability to provide excellent customer service and develop relationships with our members and guests, while being able to process paperwork accurately.

This job requires the ability to put YMCA members and guests first! Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.

• Be creative in finding ways to successfully meet member needs.
• Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sells memberships.
• Ability to work independently and open and close the facility.
• Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA.
• Handles and resolves membership concerns.
• Accurately handle cash and electronic transactions and complete shift closeout.
• Utilizes Daxko system to process transactions, register participants and record payments.
• Receive and warm transfer calls to other staff members
• Applies all YMCA policies dealing with member services.
• Perform other duties as necessary for the good of the association, may hand out locker keys; may monitor the locker rooms as required, fills out accident reports as needed and other clerical tasks as needed.
