About us

Heritage Wine and Provisions is a small retail store in Sherborn that sells wine, craft beer and spirits. We have an espresso bar and offer latte, cappuccino, mocha - hot or iced and more. We also sell local bakery items including muffins, cookies, chocolates as well as cheese and crackers.

We are seeking a Part-time Associate who likes wine and/or craft beer to become an integral part of our team at Heritage Wine and Provisions shop in Sherborn, MA. You will be responsible for selling wine, craft beer, spirits, coffee and other items in our retail setting.

Do you have some knowledge about wine and want to learn more? Have you worked in the wine industry or in a retail store? Some experience working in a retail store necessary. We are looking for friendly self-starters who like to keep busy and enjoy working and talking with customers. We need you to be reliable and detail oriented. Must 21 years of age or older to serve wine at weekly tastings in the store.

Responsibilities:

· Welcome and identify customer needs

· Explain products and services to customers

· Prepare coffee/espresso drinks

· Enter and process customer orders

· Complete cash transactions using POS system

· Stock shelves and coolers

· Receive deliveries

· Help maintain a clean work environment

· Open up or close out at end of day

· Other tasks as needed

Qualifications:

· Wine and/or beer knowledge a plus

· Espresso drinks barista experience a plus

· Previous experience in sales or customer service a plus

· Able to learn quickly and take direction

· Able to multi-task, quickly change priorities, and handle multiple customers

· Ability to build rapport with customers

· Flexible schedule a plus so team can cover for each other’s schedules when needed

· Basic math and computer skills

· Excellent verbal communication skills

· Self-motivated with the willingness to roll up your sleeves

· A team player

· High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

· Must be fluent in English

· Able to occasionally lift or carry heavy weights (case of wine is approx.. 32 lbs.) a

· Someone who has a sense of humor

Hiring will be dependent upon successful completion of a background check in accordance with company policies and federal and state guidelines.
