The Violet Crown is a new natural wine and specialty coffee bar + bottle shop opening Spring 2023. Located in Crestview, The Violet Crown will be a neighborhood space but with our elegant and welcoming design and excellent curation of natural wine and specialty coffee, we quickly anticipate being a destination for all of Austin. We are building a casual atmosphere but with best in class offerings and hospitality. At The Violet Crown we are LGBT-owned and allies, proud feminists, and anti-racists. Compensation will be commensurate with experience, starting at $8/hr + tips. While we expect the take home pay to be in the twenties, we are offering a guaranteed rate of $17/hr. Healthcare, free parking, and meaningful work-life balance are included.

We are hiring for our entire PM Staff with a range of full-time and part-time shifts available. Responsibilities may include:

-Delivering a culture of exceptional hospitality. Ensure our guests feel this in every detail and interaction within our space.

-Providing top-notch wine service and knowledge without any pretense or snobbery.

-Closing duties, ensuring the space is clean, stocked, and ready for service the following morning.

-Continued learning and improvement. This is a job for those who really care about their craft: you should always be looking to increase your knowledge of natural wine and service.

-Excel at running a Toast POS. If you don't already know the system, you're a quick learner and a great problem solver.

-Do some food prep: our food program is minimal and we all work front/back of house. You need to be a team player and be willing to work however you are needed.

-Be a proactive and a flexible self-starter. This is a new business- have the desire to seek out new ways of making us better. Be able to flourish and find opportunity in uncertainty.

-Be a feedback jedi: know how to give and receive empowering and compassionate feedback.
