KENSINGTON SOCCER CLUB OVERVIEW
Join a growing and thriving organization with strong community relationships, dedicated coaches, and a pay-what-you-can model that prioritizes inclusion and access. Help us eliminate barriers and empower our community by coaching our adult women’s league team here at Kensington Soccer Club (KSC).
At KSC we are dedicated to uniting and advancing the broader Kensington community with high quality soccer and youth development programs for everyone, regardless of ability to pay.
Program and Job Overview:
We have been running inclusive pay-what-you-can recreational and travel programs for all ages since 2012. As the organization grew in age, we wanted to find a way to provide alumni with a way to stay involved as well as engage young adults from all over the city. Because of this desire we established our adult teams that participate in leagues such as the Eastern Premier League Soccer league (EPSL), CASA, and various tournaments throughout the city and beyond.
KSC has a need for a head coach for its women’s team that currently participates in CASA’s various league offerings, as well as other tournaments throughout the year. The majority of this team is KSC alumni, and we are very proud of all they’ve accomplished in recent years both on and off the field. The women’s team coach should have a good understanding of the mission of KSC as a whole, and a desire and willingness to create a strong team environment where everyone feels welcome and included.
This position will also be responsible for coaching at our after school programming two to three days per week. KSC runs programs at schools throughout Kensington and surrounding neighborhoods through our partnership with the School District of Philadelphia in order to provide safe, fun programming for youth.
