Legacy Hardwood is a new woodworking business in Chantilly, VA. Here at Legacy Hardwood, we specialize in creating custom furniture for homes, offices, & restaurants! Tables, benches, chairs, barndoors, and are continuing to expand into other types of custom furniture as well.

We're looking for a passionate craftsmen/ woodworker to serve as the Full-Time production manager. This person will manage all shop activities, employees, and can work alongside our owner & sales manager to lead our business toward a bright future.

1) To help families create something that is uniquely their own that suits their one-of-a-kind family.

2) To build the Legacy of our own families and lives within the business through our relationships with our staff and team.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

- Direct supervise a team of craftsmen to meet & exceed production targets.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure production schedule & goals are met.
- Oversee, motivate, & manage 2-4 other employees in the shop.
- Work alongside shop employees completing all custom furniture orders.
- Communicate daily with owner & sales manager.
- Manage production list & update on a daily basis.
- Manage inventory levels & help order materials while also being cost conscience of spending and use of inventory items
- Oversee quality control of all products that are completed & minimize mistakes
- This role is responsible for all furniture finishing (applying paint & finish)
- Create & Maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain a clean shop environment
- Create systems that help the shop & team run more efficiently & effectively
- Attend to details while also managing the big picture
- Manage multiple tasks and deal with competing priorities
- Motivate, communicate, and drive continuous improvement among the shop team
- You must be able to spend your time working and effectively organizing and leading.

SUMMARY -

1) The most important role of this job is the commitment to see that our production targets are met or exceeded every pay cycle while maintaining high quality standards.

2) The second most important role of this job is that you manage our team well, communicate on a daily basis with the owner & sales manager, and are highly organized in every area that you work.

Work hours are flexible so long that production quotas are met- this means there is a potential for 4 day work weeks/ days off.

2 Week Training period at a pay rate will begin at $18/hour. $25/hr + bonus potential thereafter.
