Position Type: Full-Time


Pay Range: Hourly
- Min $49,920 - Max: $63,410/annually (based on qualifications and experience)

Job Summary:
The Workforce Development Specialist will identify and monitor training needs in the organization, and design, plan, and implement on-going training programs, policies, and procedures to fulfill those needs. Position must foster a culture of patient and family centered care, service, quality, and safety excellence while improving patient and employee experience and community relations.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with HR team and organization supervisors to ensure effective training for new hires regarding company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that training materials and programs are current, accurate, and effective.
  • Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to the organization.
  • Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes that require training for successful implementation.
  • Conducts or facilitates required and recommended education sessions across the organizational service area.
  • Develops curriculum to improve employees’ professionalism, communication, customer service, etc.
  • Consults with others in the organization to develop training materials that meet the needs of the program or process.


Job Qualifications

Knowledge, skill and ability:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understands the principles of adult learning
  • Experience developing curricula
  • Ability to support and sustain programs after training delivery
  • Ability to work with employees to develop effective training or presentations in various areas of work
  • Ability to identify employee gaps in knowledge and/or skills
  • Ability to identify best training methods for a specific purpose or audience and apply those methods
  • Knowledge of various teaching methods and approaches
  • Excellent time management, public speaking, and problem-solving skills
  • Great email/phone etiquette
  • Ability to facilitate large group trainings


Education/Trainings/Certificates:

Bachelor’s degree in organizational management, HR, education, or other relevant field or Training Professional/Talent Development Certification
