New Horizons Baking Company has been in operation since 1967. We produce ready to eat hamburger buns and English muffins for some of the most iconic brands. We currently serve over 2,000 quick service restaurants across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan and Western Pennsylvania as well as national retail and sandwich makers!

Compensation & Benefits:
$22.41+ per hour starting pay, paid weekly

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 3pm-11pm

Job Summary and Responsibilities:
- Prepares equipment, equipment attachments in, out, and around New Horizons Baking Company Facility.
- Skilled in operating heavy equipment to load and unload units from equipment hauling trailers and around property as necessary for safe transportation.
- When needed will be responsible to stage trailers and/or meet Metraco Transportation drivers at an off-site location.
- At times will be responsible for pick-up or delivery of New Horizons Baking Company product and/or ingredients
- Maintains organized equipment inventory staging areas.
- Load and secure parts, equipment and/or accessories for delivery.
- Unload equipment and accessories.
- Assist with other facility operation duties as needed.
Safety:
- Know and follow all Company and customer safety rules, including maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, fully participating in Company accident prevention and safety improvement activities.
- Must have the physical ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including protective glasses, protective gloves, and protective clothing and footwear as required by the job.
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid CDL- A or B
- Must hold a valid DOT Medical Card
- Must be able to pass a DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Must be able to pass DOT random drug and alcohol tests
Abilities Required:
- Must be able to safely operate a Class 8 semi-tractor, Ottawa Yard Spotter and Semi-trailers safely.
- Must be able to communicate efficiently with dock personnel to safely move/dock semi-trailers at specified dock doors for loading/unloading.
- Must be able to safely remove and dock semi-trailers at the yard waste station on the New Horizons Baking Company facility.
