Program Coordinator

Million Little provides therapeutic and creative arts programs and services that are rooted in the strengths-based model for youth in underserved and at-risk environments as a powerful tool for personal and social transformation, healing, and resilience.

Position Overview: Million Little is seeking a Program Coordinator who is responsible for activities associated with the creation, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of programs at Million Little. It requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work with teams in a social-emotional learning environment. The Program Coordinator assists and supports the program managers and facilitators/artists in the field; in addition to overseeing the daily coordination, documentation, preparation, the scheduling, and oversight of classes, special events and projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and maintain the program schedule of all classes, events and projects
• Coordinate transportation
• Provide various administrative support duties raging from data entry and scheduling to complex administrative coordination
• Assist with tracking of program data
• Assist in preparing program materials and facilitating programs
• Work with Executive Director and Program Managers on all administrative elements across programs
• Perform other program administrative duties as needed to support the mission of the organization and the day-to-day operation of the programs
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• A self-starter with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Exhibit patience and sensitivity and enjoy working with youth
• Possess a strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task high volume request, and re-prioritize
• Complete tasks on time, both routine and urgent
• Believes in the strengths-based model for youth development and truly passionate about utilizing creativity for empowerment and the population Million Little serves
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
• Knowledge in creative softwares such as Canva, Adobe Premier, Photoshop, ProCreate is a plus

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Must have a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds, move materials (clay, paints, equipment, etc) on carts around program sites
• Must be flexible working in a fast-paced, non-profit environment and open to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
• Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation required to visit Million Little partner sites across Los Angeles and Million Little office in Santa Clarita, CA 91355

If offered position:

• Must obtain and clear a background check (Live Scan)
• Must provide a proof of COVID-19 vaccination
• May require to provide First Aid/CPR certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• May require a certification of negative TB status

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
