Job Summary:
As a member of the Educational Effectiveness Team, the Educational Access Center Coordinator provides administrative support for the EAC and performs a wide variety of organizational tasks related to the effective functioning of the office across all PLNU campuses including Point Loma, Balboa, Mission Valley, Bakersfield and Liberty Station.

Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direct supervision of the EAC Associate Dean, the Accessibility Coordinator will:
  • Complete administrative tasks as assigned by Managers and Asst. Dean of the office.
  • Assist in implementing student employee training and supervision for receptionists, scribes, peer notetakers, and faculty technology assistants.
  • Process student employee time sheets for 10 – 40 student workers.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the EAC offices, including greeting and directing visitors, responding to phone calls and emails, and answering general questions.
  • Receive and scan official documents into Workday and maintain accurate and updated information to all relevant faculty and staff.
  • Assist with procedural needs of peer notetakers.
  • Schedule proctor spaces for all campuses, schedule conferences and campus meetings for the EAC team.
  • Schedule and proctor exams as needed at each campus and online.
  • Complete orders for office supplies.
  • Process budget transfers and assists with monitoring expenditures.
  • Track and maintain EAC inventory and office expenditures.
  • Maintain EAC student visit and program statistics using existing and developing technologies.
  • Provide administrative support for New Student Orientation (NSO) and other activities as requested.
  • Travel to other campus locations as needed.
  • Attend appropriate meetings, staff chapel, and other work-related events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associates Degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in fast-paced office environment; higher education office experience preferred.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong computer literacy skills with demonstrated capacity to understand standard office procedures and operate standard office equipment.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication skills with a sound foundation in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Ability to promote and maintain an inclusive environment in EAC that is safe and calming for students.
  • High capacity for work with diverse populations in an office setting.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations; and typing and keyboard skills.
  • Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. In addition, staff agree to live in agreement with PLNU’s

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, email and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 10 lbs. throughout the day.
  • A driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are necessary for services to multiple campus sites in San Diego County. Mileage is reimbursed.
