JOB DESCRIPTION:
This person manages all aspects of the preparation of all financial and managerial reports for entities under the SMASHotels umbrella

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are never limited to:
1. Manage all aspects of the preparation of the financial and managerial reports.
2. Reconcile Balance Sheets Monthly
3. Demonstrate expertise in all facets of the Accounting discipline including but not limited to (AP, AR, Income Audit, General Cashier, Payroll, Taxes, COGS, General Ledger Maintenance, and Audit Compliance).
4. Prepare and manage Standard Operating Procedures of Smashotel's accounting practices.
5. Make recommendations of more efficient and effective accounting practices to Director of Finance.
6. Ensure integrity of all hotel/F&B finances and books.
7. Recommend and manage internal control policies that protect company assets and are efficient for operations.
8. Weekly bank reconciliations and daily cash reporting.
9. Complete special projects as assigned by Director of Finance.
10. Provide communication across all levels of management.

13. Exemplify our Standard Code of Conduct and all other regulations established by management and Employee Handbook.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Superior communication skills across multiple levels
2. Act with respect, determination, professionalism and self confidence
3. Be flexible since we are supporting 24/7 hotel operations.
4. Experience with M3 Accounting System a plus.
5. Solid knowledge of Excel preferred.

Experience required in the following areas.
  • Opera
  • OnQ
  • A/R (accounts receivable)
  • Income Audit
  • Accounts receivable
  • Oversee AR and Group billing
  • Communicate with management of two full-service properties
  • Management of two accounting clerks
  • Prepare daily revenue reports and reconcile revenue
  • Post and reconcile third party payments
  • Prepare cash deposits and daily over short
  • Respond to chargebacks
  • Month End Reporting
  • Additional investigative work as assigned
