Accounting Technician
Job description
Western Nebraska Community College is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Accounting Technician - Generalist.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary cashier and customer service liaison for the Business Office; perform a variety of accounting tasks necessary for support of college purchasing and general ledger processes; prepare correcting journal entries as required; perform a variety of technical accounting duties relative to area of assignment; and serve as backup to other accounting positions within the department. Must follow college billing and refund policies, institutional, FERPA, and GLBA confidentiality regulations, and Federal Title IV cash management regulations.
Qualifications:
Equivalent to an Associate's degree from an accredited college with major course work in accounting, business, or a related field and two years of increasingly responsible technical accounting experience.
Salary:
Commensurate.
Start Date:
Immediate.
