Wentworth Gallery, the leading fine art retailer in the United States, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for their corporate offices located in Miami Gardens (North Miami), Florida.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, processing, and maintaining accounts payable records for our company.
Responsibilities include:
- Receive vendor invoices daily by regular and electronic mail.
- Review vendor statements and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Channel vendor invoices for approval.
- Process and code vendor invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts upon approval.
- Prepare and mail A/P checks as needed.
- Manage vendor relations.
- Maintain physical files of accounts payable records.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
Experience and qualifications:
- 2 years Accounting experience (preferred).
- 2 years Accounts Payable experience (preferred).
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Knowledge of Great Plains software is preferred.
