Reporting to the Senior Director Environmental Management this position is responsible for administratively supporting the Senior Director Environmental Management and administrative functions of the environmental management team. Primary responsibilities for this role include calendar, meeting and task management, document control and management, travel and expense management, budget and personnel support, and reporting and presentation support. The role requires proficiency and/or use of Microsoft Office, SAP, and various internal information technology applications.
What you will do:
Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with the Environmental Management Team and SHE functions- Regularly seek information from the Environmental Leadership Team relating to activities and timelines
- Proactively manage Manager calendar and tasks, and ensure conflicts are identified and resolved in a timely manner
- Regularly manage the rhythm of meetings and ensures sufficient work time is built into the Manager’s calendar each week for meeting preparation and “Important Not Urgent” tasks
- Understand the complexities of arranging meetings and teleconferences, including those across various time zones, and displays a logical and thoughtful approach to scheduling. Strive for the best possible outcome against each meeting request
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of Manager travel preferences, ensures all travel arrangements are zero defect, and records all relevant information accurately in Manager calendar
- Processe expenses for Manager, paying close attention to ensure expenses are submitted in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with the expense policy
- Be able to multi-task under pressure and handle periods of heavy workload, remaining visibly calm, polite and professional throughout
- Demonstrate good organization of own workload and ability to prioritize tasks and negotiate deadlines with limited input from Manager. Plan ahead based on an understanding of external impacts on workload (manager priorities and deadlines) and will be flexible around working hours to meet business needs
- Demonstrate courtesy and professionalism in all interactions at all levels. Consistently provide high levels of client service
- Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics
- Provide historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems
- Draft letters and documents, collect and analyze information, and initiate telecommunications
- Plan and schedule meetings, conferences, teleconferences, special events and travel
- Complete ad hoc projects and follow-up on results
- Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing information
- Align and coordinate administrative site functions including contingency plan support across departments
- Implement and maintain a continuous improvement plan for site administrative functions
- Serve as a resource to all staff for related questions and projects
- Develop, coordinate, and track budgets from various locations
- Develop and distribute communications and reports between multiple locations
- Prepare monthly reports and highlights for executive meetings
- Develop PowerPoint Presentations for executive meetings
What you will bring:
High School diploma or GED required- Preferred AA and/or Bachelors
- Minimum 2-5 years of administrative assistant experience working for senior and/or executive level administration
- Experience in general office administrative activities, preferably in a regulatory compliance and/or science and engineering setting
- Advanced skill level and high proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
- Awareness – proficiency in SAP is preferred
- A detail oriented and proactive, willing to work for and with each member of the team, exhibit good communication skills, upbeat, positive, and outgoing
- Seek continuous improvement and be flexible in work assignments
- Confidentiality and trustworthiness required
- Ability to prioritize and care for multiple tasks
- Ability to work well under pressure and with minimum direction
- Ability to represent Nutrien professionally in all internal and external communications
- Ability to perform at an accurate and productive level is essential to this position
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range $43,360 -$60,060 Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our plan(s), which provide discretionary award opportunities reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
