Description
- This position provides clerical and administrative assistance to the department.
Job Responsibilities
- Gathers and prepares all information needed for prosecutors to screen and file cases.
- Pulls case files for the docket.
- Process/scan cases through Odyssey system
- Manages digital evidence using Genetec system
- Delivers files to courtroom as requested.
- Enters information into criminal history automated system.
- Prepares disposed cases for transport to warehouse.
- Receives visitors and directs to appropriate personnel.
- Answers telephones, directing calls and taking messages as appropriate.
- Maintains files and records for the department.
- Develops and prepares a variety of reports as requested.
- Types and prepares correspondence and legal documents.
- Assists department personnel as requested.
- Performs standard office duties including faxing, copying, and shredding as requested.
- Ability to operate common office equipment.
- Must have the skills to multi task on a daily basis
- Able to report regularly for work and be on time.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience working in office administration
- Must have proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Must be an excellent typist
- Ability to work as a team player with the other staff in the office
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Excellent skills in office organization and procedures
- Excellent phone skills
- Excellent customer service skills
