Administrative Supervisor Responsibilities to Include:
- Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone and thanking them for choosing CPA as their medical home
- Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by collecting detailed patient information including personal and financial information
- Oversees the patient check-in and patient check-out functions of the clinic
- Primary point of contact and resource for all front desk operational items
- Ensures proper flow of charts, patient paperwork, documents, labeling, faxing, etc.
- Notifies manager of patient inquiries and complaints. Responds to patient inquiries and complaints in the absence of the Practice Manager
- Provides training for new team members to include computer training, coordinating completion of the proficiency checklist and scheduling final testing of proficiency. Continues the training process through daily interactions
- Prepares staff schedules and ensures adequate staffing levels at the front desk
- Monitors staff performance
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior medical practice experience preferred
- Knowledge and prior experience with insurance verifications and patient accounts preferred
- Working knowledge of computer applications. Prior experience with EMR preferred
- Ability to speak, read and write effectively
- Demonstrates proper telephone etiquette
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision
- Ability to travel to all CPA locations as needed
- Ability to work day, evening and weekend hours as required
- Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines, in a detail-oriented manner
