Position Description

• Spends most of their time on the grounds, in the vineyards, or the winery.
• Plants and prunes grapevines, coordinates and supports harvest process.
• Operates tractor, mower, and sprayer; performs tractor maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintains records and applies fertilization program, soil sampling, and quality evaluations; includes fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, MSDS and safety standards.
• Assists in wine production, organization and sanitization, and maintenance of production machinery, equipment, and supplies.
• Supports Tasting Barn team during events and special weekends.
• Performs ground maintenance, including removal of weeds, underbrush, and small trees; serves as backup for primary mower person.

• Finds delight in the great outdoors and enjoys cultivating a space for guests to connect with nature’s simple pleasures.
• Communicates effectively in person, via text and email; works well independently and with others; comfortable with computers.
• Takes initiative and enjoys learning about all things nature and wine, following defined processes, and has a keen eye for details.
• Can lift 50 pounds with ease; can stand or sit for up to 10 hours.
