NJ4S Launch Ambassador
Classification: Part-time, Seasonal
Job Function: The NJ4S Launch Ambassadors will serve as the community outreach and engagement team responsible for 1.) informing families about the NJ4S program prior to the schools opening in the Fall 2.) implementing launch and informational activities as assigned 3.) assembling and distributing promotional materials for the schools in their respective counties. They will be expected to conduct all activities in a professional manner and uphold Acenda's standards of high excellence.
Essential Functions
- Attend Acenda NJ4S Orientation.
- Identify and schedule key approved locations for educational events across the counties.
- Conduct approved educational and outreach events as required.
- Assemble NJ4S promotional materials as required and distribute to school districts and communities as assigned.
- Collaborate with NJ4S leadership to develop and implement promotional activities based on DCF and Acenda requirements
- Consistently monitor activities performed via tracking documentation and submit to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Serve as a positive community role model when promoting the NJ4S program.

- Follows agency policies and procedures and ensures same in others.
Necessary Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently.
- Must regularly be able to see, speak and hear. Frequently required to stand, sit, walk, bend, use hands and arms and must occasionally lift up to 20 pounds.
- Must be sensitive, flexible and responsive to gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, age, sexual orientation or any other diverse needs as reflected in the ability to communicate with staff and/or clients.
To qualify for this job you need to have the below minimum requirements and experience:
- Current college student, preferably either from or attending college in, the county where you will be working (Gloucester, Cumberland, Salem, Atlantic, Cape May)
- 1-2 letters of recommendation
- Strong work ethic; comfortable working independently.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record.
