To help us along this journey, RMS IT is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Software Engineer. We're looking for somebody with passion and enthusiasm, as well as awareness for diversity, to enable IT development and business transformation.

Software Engineers listen to customers' perspectives and work with Architects and Analysts to make requirements become a reality. As a member of the RMS Applications team, the successful candidate will be responsible for engagement with customers, Project leaders and architects. They will utilize their development teams to build and support applications on premise and in the cloud. A software engineer will work with the product team and prioritize requirements into a plan to meet milestones and minimum viable products (MVP) that meet schedule, cost, and functional constraints. The successful candidate will work with internal customers to help conceptualize means to apply digital technology as a strategic asset. Software Engineers will work with the business transformation, developer advocacy, and functional leadership teams to identify opportunities to create the desired customer experiences and gather feedback to support iterative, data-driven growth and improvement opportunities, while determining effectiveness of new and current systems.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Strong software development skills with .NET or related language such as C#, C++
  • Tableau development and administration skills
  • Alteryx experience and skills
  • Knowledge of Cobra and Open Plan data models
  • Candidate is forward-thinking and can articulate the steps and changes necessary to make future state a reality
  • Fosters a positive and engaging work environment where people can develop, excel, and supports a diverse and inclusive culture.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong, enduring relationships with team members, stakeholders, and customers to best support team engagements
  • Must be able to stay motivated and focused while working virtually
  • Ability to form easy working relationships when most interactions are via Skype, Zoom, Slack, Box, confluence, Jira, Instant Messaging and other similar collaboration tools
  • Experience with Agile tracking tools (Jira, Trello, or similar products)

Desired Skills:
  • Experience in project management (especially on business or digital transformation activities)
  • Agile story/requirement generation (synthesizing customer needs into timeboxed, actionable, and verifiable tasks)
  • Full stack engineer experience could also expand project capabilities for candidate
  • Ability and Willingness to learn full stack engineer skills such as application architecture development and software engineering tasks

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $85,900 - $164,600. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $98,800 - $186,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
