This is a temporary to permanent hire Service Contract Act position with an hourly pay rate of $25.90 that includes a Health and Welfare Benefit of $4.41 an hour.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Typical assignments include the following but not limited to:
In addition to performing functions of Document Management Technician, performs moderately complex litigation support tasks, including, for example, detailed review and analysis of case materials in a broad range of subject matters, such as financial records, health care materials, and other litigation files.
The Document Management Analyst may also perform the following tasks but not limited to:
• Filing, retrieving, and copying case file materials
• Creating witness binders
• Preparing deposition and trial exhibits
• Entering data on-line to case files and other databases
• Proofreading, editing, correcting Optical Character Recognition, OCR, text files
• Retrieving and blowing back documents and digital image media
• Tabbing, numbering, labeling, assembling documents
• Filling out log sheets and reporting on task progress
• Performing quality control on the work of peers in all these areas
• Prepares documents for image scanning
• Performs other document collection related activities, including document screening, and labeling of files to be scanned
• Ensure case closure in accordance with Division automated records system procedures and directives, including preparing disposition forms and ensuring that legal files are complete and organized in the correct format, and sent to the appropriate record storage facility
• Establishes, coordinates, and maintains litigation case files for assigned cases
• Ensures that formats of documents to be filed meet applicable court requirements
• Assists attorneys and paralegal specialists as assigned
• Retrieves cases and searches reference files for information and data required by the case attorney
• Under direction from the case attorney or paralegal specialists, photocopies and performs word processing; assumes case management responsibility for assigned cases

Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of experience on major litigation support projects or undergraduate degree
- Certain assignments may require experience or substantial undergraduate coursework in, for example, finance/accounting, health care, or substantial experience in the legal environment or in information technology
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment
- Requires hands-on familiarity with the government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, internet and server-based databases and other applications, such as Oracle, Relativity or other document review platform, Trial Director, etc. or similar applications/databases
- Should be a knowledgeable user of the government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems
- Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a government and/or litigation support environment in conjunction with basic qualifications, preferred
- Experience as a Legal Assistant or Junior Paralegal
- Automated litigation support experience, helpful
- Experience in supporting torts cases preferred
- Familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of e-Discovery procedures and resources, strongly preferred
- Familiarity with court filing procedures, helpful
- Current or active clearance
