Job Title: Assembly Technician
Location(s): Milpitas, CA
Responsibilities:
- Assembles components and parts for all system level products in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the processing of all computer units (Advantech system/LCD/CPU), including hardware inspection, installation, power on testing and troubleshooting within the component level when necessary.
- Performs chassis level rework, upgrades, modifies, tests to configure Advantech products to customers’ configuration, and based on customer’s special requests and instructions.
- Works and interfaces with production engineers and departmental management to initiate and provide accurate, positive, and professional responses and resolution to resolve assembly issues and meet assembly quality targets.
- Performs and completes any other tasks and/or projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience within the area of assembling computer hardware.
- Technical school training and/or certification within a technical, scientific, or Computer Science background or equivalent experience.
- Completion of formal technical training (2+ years) is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Product-oriented certificates are required.
- Knowledge of assembling computer related hardware.
- Knowledge of Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) assembly and testing and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) follow up/through is required.
- Understanding, adherence, and compliance with standard operational procedures, guidelines, and instructions.
- Ability to perform and complete multiple tasks and projects with a changing workload, priorities, and meet order schedules with quality results.
- Ability to work independently with self-initiative, and be a team player.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
