JOB TITLE: Assembly Technician

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist in the manufacturing, assembly, warehousing and preparation of our products for delivery to our customers. Cutting, fabricating and assembling materials for the construction of polycarbonate/aluminum overhead door sections. Assembly of overhead door rollers and hardware.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Prefer a high school diploma and one year of experience in a production setting where fabricating and assembly of consumer goods is a daily job duty. Applicants must possess a fair knowledge of manufacturing settings, have the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently and up to 130 lbs. occasionally, and have the ability to communicate with production staff and co-workers. Should have a strong mechanical aptitude and a good working knowledge of math and geometry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Uses hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices in the fabrication of overhead door sections and the assemble of various overhead door hardware.

· Works with quality control efforts to eliminate mistakes and improve safety and throughput.

· Works as part of continuous improvement efforts.

· Ability to work at a high level to meet production deadlines, manage time and follow a schedule.

· May perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

PLACE IN LINE OF AUTHORITY: Reports to Production Supervisor
