The Visser Precision Manufacturing team located in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Assembly Technician.

Purpose

As an Assembly Technician, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing and assembly of aerospace components. You will be responsible for following detailed instructions and utilizing a variety of hand tools, machinery, and equipment to assemble, install, and inspect aerospace parts. The role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Include

  • Assemble Aerospace Components: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to assemble aerospace components accurately. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to perform tasks such as drilling, riveting, fastening, and bonding.
  • Inspect finished assemblies and components for adherence to quality standards, identifying and reporting any defects or deviations. Follow established quality control procedures to ensure the production of high-quality aerospace parts.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembly operations, including completion status, inspection results, and any issues encountered. Communicate any production or quality concerns to supervisors or appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including fixture and tool development production, and quality, to ensure seamless workflow.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment, and workstations. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
  • Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions to resolve assembly issues and improve overall product quality and efficiency.
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives by suggesting ideas to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity. Collaborate with team members to implement best practices and share knowledge.
  • Comply with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

Experience

2+ years of experience in aerospace assembly or a similar manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment commonly used in aerospace assembly.
  • Basic computer skills to navigate digital work instructions and record production data.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to adhere to safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and quality.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate small components and use hand tools.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
