Job Description:
The ADON will assist the Director of Nursing (DON) with the daily management of the Nursing Department and ensure resident care is delivered in accordance with the plan of care and Federal and State regulations and guidelines.
Duties include:
- Assist DON with maintaining compliance with all regulatory agencies.
- Hire, oversee, and evaluate CNAs, & QMAs
- Supervise/provide training for all nursing personnel.
- Promote constructive working relationships.
- Participate in the development of nursing budget.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana.
- Previous long-term-care experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills with older adults
- Highly organized and multitask.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities.
- Meeting the expectations of this position requires work beyond forty (40) hours per week, but typically will not exceed fifty (50) hours per week.
