Position Summary
The Assistant Executive Housekeeper works under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper Manager. His or her responsibilities include performing proper cleaning of each guestroom, performing responsibilities outside the guestrooms, and assisting the executive housekeeper.
Primary Responsibilities
- Works with Executive Housekeeper to obtain list of vacant rooms to be cleaned & list of prospective checkouts or discharges in order to prepare work assignments.
- Assigns workers their duties, and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness by Marriott.
- Cleans guest rooms on regular basis with Room Attendants
- Act as Executive Housekeeper when he/she is off duty for the day.
- Inventorying cleaning supplies & linen stock to ensure adequate supplies. Issues supplies & equipment to workers.
- Maintain cleanliness of storage rooms & stocks cart
- Investigates concerns regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and provides feedback to Executive Housekeeper.
- Examines rooms, halls and lobbies to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management.
- Attends required staff meetings.
- Maintains a positive and professional attitude with staff at all times.
- Other duties assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience.
- Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.
- Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration.
- Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to move 10lbs on a daily basis.
- Push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs on a weekly basis.
- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to travel by foot, car, bus, airplane, or other means of transportation which require sitting, waiting and standing for long and short periods of time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
