Agave & Rye is now hiring an Assistant General Manager at our Short North, Columbus Location!

Agave & Rye’s concept walks an intriguing line between fine art and street art, which gives each location the feel of “urban grunge”. Visually, both rustic wood and plush, brightly colored cushions dress the space to create a comfortable atmosphere.

Qualifications: a minimum of 2 years of management or supervisor experience in a high-volume environment.

Job Summary

The General Manager owns all aspects of the restaurant. Oversee, direct, and coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.

Responsibilities

  • Train, coach, and develop employees and team leaders
  • Delegate tasks to the team and provide follow-up
  • Hold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed
  • Ensure the team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service
  • Ensure product quality, restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and security standards are met
  • Staff and schedule appropriately to member volume
  • Ensure appropriate inventory and ordering systems are in place

Qualifications

  • Open and weekend availability
  • Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with members and co-workers
  • Possess a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and EPIC culture
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, guest-focused restaurant
  • Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
  • Past leadership and event experience are a plus, restaurant experience is required.

Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred!

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
