We are seeking a full-time Assistant Operations Supervisor to join our successful and thriving credit union. Serving its core employee group, the Nassau County Police Department, the NCPD Federal Credit Union takes pride in providing superior member and financial services. The Assistant Operations Supervisor will be responsible for contributing to the credit union’s success and growth by supporting our Member Service Representatives in the day to day financial activities of our membership. This role is very hands on and will also be heavily involved in projects.

The Assistant Operations Supervisor will be responsible for:
- Providing high quality member service by answering questions about products or services, processing transactions, and resolving complaints.
- Monitoring daily operations to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Provide support to operations staff and ensuring proper staffing levels and appropriate coverage.
- Responding to loan inquiries and processing loans in accordance to credit union policies and procedures. Educate members on the process of obtaining consumer loans.
- Performing tasks such as updating account records, processing payments, and inputting data into computer systems.
- Open and close branch in accordance to credit union procedure.
- Occasionally working / visiting our secondary branch.
- Participating in projects intended to further the growth and efficiency of the credit union. The first priority will be the core conversion initiative.
To be considered for the Assistant Operations Supervisor position, applicants should have knowledge of and/or previous experience in the following:
- Five years of experience in a financial institution with a history of progressively increasing level of responsibilities.
- Extensive knowledge of banking and / or credit union operations and best practices. Consumer lending experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handles escalated situations in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The education and credentials required for the Assistant Operations Supervisor position are as follows:
- A Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or a related field or equivalent work experience.

- The incumbent will be working in an open office area and regularly interfacing with members and internal staff. The incumbent may be faced with interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.
- The incumbent will be expected to handle customer service issues which require a good sense of urgency while maintaining professionalism and tact. The incumbent will spend a moderate amount of time sitting, using the telephone, office equipment and computers. The incumbent will be required to walk the credit union floor periodically as required by the need to monitor activities.
- The incumbent may have some daily activities that involve up/down motion, reaching downward or overhead from sitting position, stopping, bending, pushing/pulling, lifting, moving moderately heavy items (files, documents, office supplies, etc.,) and repetitive keyboard typing.
- The incumbent must spend a majority of time concentrating on the task at hand.
- The incumbent must have manual dexterity in order to operate a variety of office equipment such as a desktop computer, telephone, mobile devices and other ancillary devices.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
