Open Sky is seeking compassionate individuals who are looking for a great opportunity to grow a rewarding and meaningful career in human services. The Winthrop Street program, located in West Boylston, is a program for individuals with developmental disabilities. This program serves up to four women ranging in age from 23 through 57, and focuses on assist them to develop skills to be as independent as possible with assistance from staff as needed, with a strong focus on community relationships.

Assistant Program Coordinators provide direct supervision to the overnight staff (although this is not an overnight position), and they take on a leadership role working alongside Residential Counselors to provide direct support to people. They also exhibit Open Sky’s commitment to racial equity, justice, diversity, and inclusion in the work they perform.

This is a regular full-time, benefits-eligible position with a flexible schedule.

• Provide administrative assistance to the Program Manager.
• Assist with program budgets and scheduling.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living, which includes direct care duties, hygiene (personal care), lifting, assisting with transfers, medication administration, documentation, assisting with group therapy, transportation, behavioral intervention, role modeling, and recreational activities.
• Implement activities that facilitate the development of valued roles and personal relationships in the community.
• Develop and implement all habilitation, whole life, and other service plans.
• This position has on-call responsibilities.

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Alternative education/experience in lieu of formal education will be considered.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and being open to new opportunities.
