Job Responsibilities
Position Summary: To act as a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for residents and provides care to the residents through the nursing process in collaboration with other health care team members.
Essential Functions:
·Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility and keep the organization on track for its long-term goals and mission.
·Coordinate and provide leadership to each clinical, managerial and custodial team and ensure that they work together effectively.
·Interviewing, On-boarding of staff and employees at every level.
·Ensure the facility operates in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
·Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure residents’ individual care plans are being followed.
·Provide regular safety and compliance training.
·Create and maintain a budget.
·Oversee billing and set fees.
·Act as the ‘face’ of the organization to the governing board, the public and residents’ families and as a liaison between staff, residents, and families.
Non-Essential Functions:
·Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
·Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment and the achievement of safe working practices.
·Maintains a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
·Adheres to all policies and procedures of Simpson.
·Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
·Preferably have RN or LPN current License with no judgments against it in the state in which he/she is practicing.
- Current Assisted Living Home Administrator License in PA (15hrs of Training) and PCHA License (100 hrs of Training) or Current PCHA License and willing to attend ALHA Training and Certification Training within 60 days of hire.
·Current CPR certification.
·Ability to read and communicate in the English language.
·Interpersonal communication skills (both written and oral) required in order to educate and comfort patients and their families, maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel and maintain appropriate documentation records.
·Proficiency in developing a patient’s plan of care, implementing effective nursing care and evaluating outcome of nursing interventions.
