Job description
The Law Office of Philip A. King, LLC, an estate planning and probate law firm located in Delaware at 35 N. Sandusky Street, Delaware, OH (but this position will also have cases in Columbus), is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join the practice. The Law Office of Philip A, King is a small law firm in growth mode and the right candidate will have an opportunity to grow along with the firm in terms of responsibility and authority, allowing the practice owner to focus on practice growth. This position reports directly to the owner.

Job Description:
- Representing and advising clients in estate planning, probate, and guardianship matters.
- Developing estate planning and probate administration strategies based on the value of the estate and the goals of the client.
- Preparing documents for estate planning (Wills, POAs, Living Will, Deeds, Living Trusts), probate, and guardianship clients.
- Appearing in court on probate matters.
- Supervising paralegals in the estate planning, probate, and guardianship legal services section.
Qualifications:
1. At least one year of experience as a licensed attorney in Ohio.
2. At least ten years of probate experience.
3. No attorney disciplinary record.
4. Excellent writing/editing skills.
5. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
6. Strong attention to detail.
7. High degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
8. Demonstrated professional demeanor.
9. Trial/Litigation experience preferred.
Compensation/benefits/hours:
- Salary will start at $125,000/year and be based on years of experience and book of business
