As an Associate Digital Marketing Analyst you will be responsible for advancing how the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago (FRBC) engages digitally with broad public audiences through popular social media platforms and email communications. Your work includes supporting the FRBC’s main social channels and executing the social media and email strategies of the Bank. You will be reporting to the Public Affairs Manager.
The level of work required is considered entry, and staff must be able to work under general to close supervision. This position does not have direct reports.
Your Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS and other web technologies, as well as hands on experience with building email templates, maintaining distribution and segmentation lists and launching email campaigns while adhering to messaging and branding guidelines
- Familiarity with email and content testing methodologies including headline and content A/B tests and dynamic content testing to ensure rendering consistency of emails in webmail and app-based email clients
- Write/create, post, and optimize content on social media that reflects the tone and culture of the Bank, ensuring messages are effectively delivered and shared.
- Collaborate with colleagues on video, photography, graphics, and other visual assets
- Help contribute to the strategic direction of the Bank’s social media and email activities to engage and inform the public and partners on the purpose, functions, and policy decisions of the FRBC, including building and contributing to initiative-focused activities
- Track the performance of social and email marketing through metrics and analytics, create and share regular reporting, and provide analysis and recommendations
Your Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or work equivalent in journalism, communications, public relations or related communications field
- Less than 3 years of relevant work experience
Your Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of social media technologies and how they are evolving
- Experience in email marketing, including the development and execution of email campaigns or similar outreach
- Writing experience; interest in creating communications through innovative, engaging storytelling
- Interest in banking, economics, community development and the Federal Reserve System
- Ability to digest complex, highly technical ideas and topics and use them to create widely understandable, engaging stories
- Basic understanding of CSS, HTML and other web technologies – ability to edit and modify existing templates and code
- Basic photo editing skills

Location: This position is a hybrid position located in Chicago, IL
